Warlock: Master of the Arcane Announced

Unread postby Angelspit » 02 Sep 2011, 15:27

Paradox Interactive announced a new game earlier this week, in a genre that is cherished by the readers of this site:

<i>"Warlock: Master of the Arcane is a new turned-based strategy game set in the fantastical world of Ardania, popularized in Majesty franchise. Warlock: Master of the Arcane invites players to take on the role of the Great Mage and build a powerful magical empire, giving mightly mages the ability to control armies and wield magic to wage war against another, as they compete with other wizards for the title of Warlock."</i>

The <a href="/http://www.paradoxplaza.com/games/warlo ... creenshots on the official site</a> reveal a look and feel similar to the Civilization series. The game, to be released in Q2 2012, has a <a href="/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzKjOkEqpXs">teaser on Youtube</a>.

This looks very promising! The screenshots and the concept remind me of the legendary Master of Magic (1994).

I'll keep an eye on it.

Ino-Co to Paradox is the same as Nival to Ubisoft. Majesty 2 was a huge disappointment.
