Quite an expensive conversation piece. But it ended up looking quite good.

I for one think it looks like a plastic G.I.Joe ... but I'm told that the pictures here don't really do the item justice. Hey, Ubi - you're a multi-million euro corporation: how about giving your PR guys a proper camera? ;)

What a surprise - it isn't available for my country.

Not that i would buy it since it seems to be heavily overpriced but still. Adds more salt to the CE not being available injury.

Who would spend 370 dollars on a figurine?

Given that it's unique and its worth will increase over time, it might be worth it. Except if you'll end up breaking it or something.

"DISCOVER THIS ULTRA LIMITED HAND CRAFTED FIGURE.

Michael, one of the most iconic characters of the Might & Magic franchise is now entering the legend through this 27 centimeters highly detailed and handcrafted figure. "

I wasn't aware Michael is anywhere close to iconic characters of the franchise but i guess Ubisoft knows better than me.

Perhaps Ubisoft takes the much too literal meaning of "iconic", ie that we have only seen him in images (icons).

Unique does not equate to an increase in value, some collector will have to want to buy it from the original purchaser. As mentioned he is not an iconic character, in fact I still don't know anything about him and I've played all of the heroes games except tribes. It is far more likely becoming a novelty dust collector. If they wanted to make a collector's item they should have picked any of the Heroes I - IV heroes.

Basically, they could have made a black dragon. That would be sure to have some buyers. Or maybe a classic figure like Crag Hack. It seems the people responsible for these decisions live in their own Ubiworld, where everyone cares a trillion times more than physically possible for an upcoming character in a game and everyone just loves the scrapping of the old universe and have gone crazy over Ashan. There's no other way to explain it.

Old characters wouldn't make sense as a marketing opportunity for a new game...

A black dragon would have been great though... even if it's not in the game yet.

It seems there are 500 of these made. Quite optimistic for a figure of unknown and not recognizable character. Especially for the price they are aiming for.

How about a blue phoenix? Sulphur not included.

500? O_o OK, now that means it's rather worthless. But how did they do all those "figurine in the making" shots, if it's somewhat mass-produced?

#ΤΤ:

Well, there is a Crag Hack's Helmet even in this game. Who is to say that Crag Hack himself won't be too? Plus there wasn't only one Crag Hack, the same manner there wasn't only one Ironfist, one Alamar, etc.

Probably they needed to make one model before they could mass-produce them. I would think that that still needs to be done for *ANY* figurine production...

Ubi has got to be kidding. $370 for that? Well, there's a sucker born every minute and it'll be interesting to see who, or if anyone at all, actually buys it. ;|
