ForumTalk: Maps & Cracks

There's been lots of map talk in the forum of late; the Mapmaking Guild has been a beehive of activity, and our esteemed haunter ScarlettP has restarted her WoW campaign and submitted it to our site for testing. Several threads are now active offering discussion on a wide range of issues, to take ones mind off the Campfire nonsense.

Elsewhere, in the Heroes V forum, discussion is ongoing after the latest development in the StarForce saga. The continuing success of GalCiv II and their implementation of an alternative copy protection scheme (or should one say the lack of one) have come as a welcome surprise to our members. That a game without a built-in copy protection has been such a success can probably be blamed on the actual quality of the game, and as new upgrades and features (such as multiplayer) become available for valid key-owners only, many fans are hopeful that this new approach might lead to a change of direction in anti-piracy policies. Maybe if this is successful enough, it could get some attention in wider circles. Who knows where that could lead…

I bet Starforce will try to find a way of sueing them for it.
Let them think they are winning, when they find out they are losing, its too late.

StarDocks system seems to be great. A free game to try out and if you want the updates you have to pay.
