I dislike the 3D GTA games, and from what I've heard even those that like them don't hold IV in very high regard. Also the PC port is a lazy one, it is very badly optimized(I think they fixed it up a little bit when the episodes were released, but still), think higher requirements than Crysis. Still the price is very good.

I heard the same thing about the PC port. I'd rather play it on my Xbox (large screen, surround sound, good controller), but 4 times the price is way too much. I think I'll pass and check out today's deal instead, or keep my money for Plants vs. Zombies.

I'm not a console gamer, so I don't know how it compares, but in my opinion it's more than worth it.

I bought KB: AP from some other Direct to Download site. The files allow me to setup the game on any computer. If you want a hard copy, just burn these files to a DVD and lock it up in the closet. It is good to keep a slave drive for all the D2D madness. D2D is a good thing, as long as the files hold their integrity, 10 years from now and the prices remain pleasant. Curious, Ubi D2D files work fine on any machine without an online connection. Is there something true of D2D that requires a thing like starforce or some online verifier? If that is the case, then....there must be some legal precedence. The old saying is everyone who buys an official game is entitled to a working backup. Even if it is 20 years from now.

Yeah, i've only bought really cheap games from Steam itself myself... DoW2 and L4D2 simply had it as a requirement. Bloody annoying that.

The best sellers are back for this final day, including Trine and GTA IV (I picked them both, as well as Plants vs. Zombies).

What a sale that was!

I got started a few days ago. It's a really beautiful game, very polished.

Now I can't play anymore because my son is sleeping in the basement with the current heat wave. Meh.

Ended up getting these:

Tales of Monkey Island

Second Sight

Dark Void Zero

Gish

Altitude

Bionic Commando Rearmed

Devil May Cry 4

Beat Hazard

Thief: Deadly Shadows

Shatter

I still haven't played Trine, loved the demo though.

They've announced Trine 2 with online co-op.

No, but the copious amount of swearing when I die would wake him up.

And that's better left to be learned at school.

I noticed that Disciples 3 is available on Steam. Got bad reviews on Metacritic though:

Yeah, wait for more patches or a price drop on that one.

I'm struggling to even finish Trine... All levels start to look the same after a while, and I'm sick of fighting bats and skeletons. GTA IV on the other hand is truly a masterpiece. I feel like being part of a gangster movie, of having a second life. Getting those achievements is fun too, especially since they contribute to my Xbox gamerscore.
