Might and Magic Contest

Good Old Games is having a contest for Might and Magic VI (thanks RPGWatch):

If you know the answer for only one image, send it as well - we'll draw 9 free GOG game coupons, 3 for each image. So the more locations you'll guess right, the bigger chances to win a game or even 3 games! Only one entry per user is allowed."

If anyone can answer them all, I'm sure that person is a Celestial Heavens regular. Do you feel like giving it a shot? I think I remember the #2 dungeon, not sure about the two others. I didn't get very far in that game.

1 has to be the NWC Dungeon

2 I think is the Temple of Baa

3 is obviously Castle Ironfist

Yeah, #1 is the NWC dungeon. I remember it was added after a fan killed himself, as a tribute to that guy.

I've identified all three pictures, it took me a while to figure out #1 but then fired up the old game and went hunting. #3 is very easy, and #2 took me a few minutes to remember. So I'm gonna send in my entry.

Yea... too obvious. Would be more challenging to ID picture of some random room in a dungeon without the aid of some mini-map.

Just now saw this today. And yeah, waaaaaay too easy. NWC Dungeon, Temple of Baa, Castle Ironfist from above the front castle wall. I think Ryder and I have played this game WAAAAAAY too many times. :O)

I think this contest was created so that the not so avid MM6 fan would have a chance of guessing too. The mini-map helped me identify #1. Completely puzzled, I hunted through all the maps in my strategy guide trying to find that one.
Then it hit me!

Since the picture of the mini-map wasn't anywhere in the guide and with the name Trip Hawkins as a clue, I finally put two and two together. I too made my guesses before reading Ryder's post.

I gotta play MM6 more often.

When I first saw the name Trip Hawkins, I thought whoever took the screen shot had given one of his characters that name. Silly me.

Hehehe. Actually Ryder, I'm way ahead of you. I've been replaying it for the past couple of months on and off. My youngest daughter has shown an interest. She just loves the fly spell and swooping over the trees. :O)
