Unread postby Kalah » 08 Jul 2009, 21:12

<img src="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/images ... creen1.jpg" align=right vspace=10 hspace=10>There's a Clash of Heroes preview and trailer available on <a href="/http://www.gamespot.com/ds/rpg/mightand ... ameSpot</a>, along with some other stuff.

<i>What</i> other stuff?

<a href="/http://www.gamespot.com/ds/rpg/mightand ... review!</a>

Excerpt from the preview:

<i>The game’s story starts with a bang. A link to the parallel demon world of Sheogh has been opened during a recent lunar eclipse, and it has plunged the peaceful Ashan into darkness. The forces of good once held a powerful weapon known as the Blade of Binding, which bends the will of demons to that of the sword's master. However, in the game's opening sequence the blade is stolen, and it's up to you to find it before it's too late.

The world of Ashan is well realised on the DS, and Capybara has put plenty of detail into the heroes, villains, and environments. The main characters all have their own unique personalities and expressions, while the colour palette is vibrant and the graphics are crisp. Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes is due out on August 25.</i>

Two words: Demons? Again?

By the way, we'll have our own little feature about this game soon.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

IIRC from this game previews, story take place 40 years before HV, right?
So it should be ca. 930 YSD (HV starts in 969 YSS during 6th Eclipse).

Now, in 951 YSD was 5th Eclipse and 4th Eclipse was in 843 YSD.

Great work Ubi :P
Of course these 40 years can be wrong description but if they were right...

EDIT:
I wonder if Fiona from this game will be queen Fiona of Griffin Empire, mother of Nicolai and protector of Markal?

Yes, I thought about it before too - but did you look at screens? Godric is a child (al right - teenager) in Puzzle Quest: Heroes :P and in HV (20 years later) he looks like he was in his fifties, sixties, not fourties.

And look on Cyrus in game screens and in HV - no way that 20 years after Clash of Heros he will look so old.

Storyline's already out the window with Spock and Dansky in charge, but I'm really hoping they hire some translators who won't use Babelfish to do the work for them. You can patch Heroes V forever but with a DS game there's no going back to fix things.

Serving idiots is probably a really stressful job... it aged him prematurely...

Serving idiots is an American tradition. The incentive relies upon Clash of Heroes and Heroes of Might & Magic Kingdoms. We make this world our own hell. Time keeps on ticking. The world is always running from time. We are our own devil. It's running out.
