The HoMM V for MacOSX fan site has an <a href="/http://hommv.utopos.net/freeverse-inter ... >interview with two Freeversee employees</a>. Since work on the Mac port of the game has not really started yet, they talk mostly about the Mac gaming scene, previous Heroes for the Mac games, and cross-platform interaction. Hambone also has a <a href="/http://hommv.utopos.net/category/gamepl ... commentary on the first developer letter</a> that was posted on the official forums:
<blockquote><i>"You know you are in trouble when the developer defines the problem as one between usability and graphics. This is like wondering if you can design a chess set with so much pointless adornment that it becomes impossible to differentiate a rook from a queen."</i></blockquote>
Elsewhere, Gamasutra talks about the <a href="/http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_i ... 8241">most attractive genres for game publishers</a>. There is probably no need to mention that strategy didn't make the list. <i>"The four "super-genres" accounted for over 73% in combined revenue for fiscal year 2005. "</i>

What about MMORPG's...is that just considered to be a strategy genre? Because if not, I would think that they would account for far more than the other 3 genres they list there...

Considering that the article is about all kind of gaming consoles, the fact that f.ex. MMORPG:s or sstrategy games aren't on there is hardly surprising as both are mainly PC games. A similar analysis for the PC market would most likely have looked quite different.

"Elsewhere, Gamasutra talks about the most attractive genres for game publishers." Not only is this article about console games, but it seems to have nothing to with Heros of Might and Magic.
