I think Flamestryke's are still my favs though.
Actually, Dodd has a new mod. It hasn't been released yet, but a friend is play testing it as we speak.

I was hoping to get a pre-release copy.

@BDJ:That's not weird, sometimes I have downloading archives from rapidshare at 30-50kb/sec. If you are lucky you may get 150-300 kb/sec.
For my experience downloading from Megaupload it's much faster, as I usually download at a speed of around 140-280 kb/sec. Rarely I download under 70kb/sec, and sometimes(usually when downloading small archieves) I reach the 600-840 kb/sec :-D
I'm agree splitting in several parts would be a wise idea

cheers

Ehhhh...
In original BDJ's MOD it was impossible...

But in Maestro MOD you can do something like this!

Special thanks to BDJ who coded this thing!!! :hoo: So there is a possibility to play as a Lich...so you can achive Grand in Dark magic too

Thats all that I can say. You should complete Maestro's Quest to be able to achive the Lich promotion. ;|

Yup, it's true. However, the Maestro Quest is a three dungeon, two part 'quest' with some really challenging encounters! And if ya leave two of the 'dungeons' early, before completing your tasks, and then return, you won't be able to complete the quests. So it aint gonna be all that easy to complete!

:D

This question may sound stupid, but... Oh, well
I've read a couple of forums dedicated to BDJ's and Maestro's mods, but I still couldn't figure out, whether the artifacts, which can only be carried by "evil" characters, had been removed or modified in some way. Could someone make it clear for me?

I think they can "not", from what I have read here.

You will see one item that BDJ posted in another thread here that has a red circle with a red line through it. Actually the item does not even show up. I have seen this item as well on occasion, while plundering dragons.

Thanks, Variol! :)

So where could that thread you mentioned be located?
And did I get it correctly, the authors of the mods actually added a few artifacts, right?

Great!

So those artifacts could still be found, eh? And there's no possible way to fix them up so they become "not evil"?

Oh well... After all, every time while beating the game you get useless artifacts :(

BTW
And how to solve the problem with manticores being "invisible"?

There are lots of items in the game, so it's probably not a big deal to leave them in. I don't know about the Manticore thing. I just go in there invisible and get the book, then get out. (if that's where you are referring to)

I was speaking in general - I've yet to play the mod, and really lookin' forward to it. A non-modified game contains manticores ("invisible" ones) too...
I read that thread you linked - it seems, the mod has manticores in other locations. Also, Maestro wrote that there is an actual way to see and even identify them. How to do that, 'cause I didn't fully understand the description he made in that post... :baby:

If you drop down your video acceleration to software-level, you should be able to see the manticores. At least, I could then.

I noticed when I switched from hardware to software acceleration I was finally able to see the new sprites for peasants in Erathia and Tularean Forest. But, I've never seen the fabled sexy sprites in Nighon and elsewhere. Did Vladimir decide to leave them out after all the furor, or is my system not set up properly? Everything else seems to be working as it should...

I'm quite sure he did those sprites after the mod. You may see them in a patch though.
