Just uploaded Part 2 of the Modder's Guide. It introduces the Event Language and program control of Created Creatures. The .ZIP file contains the Modder's Guide, two CodeSnippets, and a commented and 'parsed' .pdf of the code for Out01.evt (Emerald Island).

Even If I wanted to mod MM7 as much as you, I don't think it would ever be as good as your mod...

I wish you would take a look at Seiken Densetsu 3 (Super NES game) :-)
Now THAT's a game I'd like a serious coder like you take a look at...

I think page was turn off or deleted!!

Now I can't find anything there!!

0 - for everything. Everything is turned off 8|

But I alredy doenloaded all this tutorials about a month ago :proud:

But I still have some questions!!!
1) Where to change classes? CLASES.TXT do not works!
2) Where to change races\races names\races starting statistics & bonuses?
3) Where to change spell names? SPELLS.TXT not work correctly!! It changes name but it not change effects!! I meen I changed Heroism->Honor (name). In spell book it called Honor, but status window show me that I casted Heroism!!
4) It is possible to edit the spell damage or effect?

for all your questions the answer is, that it is coded into the MM7.exe file

Must have missed this thread first time round, but I've always been interested in modding MM7, so this should help me out alot :)

Very bad!!! I can't edit this file :disagree:
And EXE file differ from game version - it may not work for other games :(

I do nor think that it is in EXE file!!!
I've got russian game version...downloaded BDJ mod -> all text became in english, spells, items, classes...all became in english!!

So I think this is in LOD files!!

another question here, how to set the boats destinations and days?

i cant find the event to travel from emerald isle to harmondale

Extract all .txt files from Events.lod and use any file manager to find text you want in them. I'm sure all names are in these files.
2) Names can be changed in Global.txt, but other things are in .exe I guess.
3) It's also stored in global.txt. And there are Heroism potions and NPC that casts Heroism. 9 files in total.
4) I did find something about spell visual effects in MM6. I found it with ArtMoney, but AFAIR it was also stored in some file.
Some information is also stored in .bin files, but I don't think there is any of these things.
My patches: MM6 MM7 MM8. MMExtension. Tools. Also, I love Knytt Stories and Knytt Underground. I'm also known as sergroj.

What parameters - what do?!

ITEMS.TXT - can edit\change weapons\armor descriptions\bonuses, can modify coordinates of weapons (armor do not move - i tried).

Now I worked harder to make body and position maximal same as the original!. Even armor sprite looks correct on her!

But do not expect something more! I must comlete fixing MM7 MOD and test my abilities in video editing.

Just take a look on original one! Same bodypaint but red.
My vampie is not completed, cant decide what she must wear ;)

But If to do new graphics - any charecter should have it's own appearance. And now I can easily solve this problem with some textures and photoshop :-D

And I must say that MM8 charecters are proportional and real-human-identical. They've made progress :D

Got quite a trouble with my Internet traffic... Please, tell me, do those tutorials have a section about modifying artifacts, and perhaps, just plain items?
I'd love to change descriptions to them... :S
