it is possible, search for a youtube save movie program
Ultima, Elder Scrolls and Might and Magic Veteran.

I did used the combo of Firefox extension "downloadvideo" and VLC player. If you not count that you must manually renaming it, it works just fine .

**Anyway FLC Player is more reliable on this matter, not shortening the files.
