Needing help in Amskarm Keep (2nd part) M & M9

I am up to doing the secord part of the Amskarm Keep (the part where you have to get the drawbridge down).
Is there any way of getting it down without using arrows?

I have gone the trap doors & done the chain thing.
I got told by my hubby who is also playing the game that there is a room you can go into to get the bridge down; is that correct?
If so where is the room?
And can I get a map for the Keep?

I have tired searching for the above on the net & have gotten nowhere.

I think you do actually need some kind of ranged weapon to get it down. Ranged weapons (either bow or thrown) are pretty easy to get, though.

The way to lower the bridge is to go to the top of the keep and near the upper entrance, you'll find a trapdoor which you can open with the key that was given to you by the Jarl of Drangheim. Down there are the devices you need to open the gate and lower the bars.
