Crusaders of Might and Magic models

Unread postby Neecko » 30 Apr 2019, 23:14

Hey there,

Recently I was looking at the Crusaders game files from GoG. I thought all the assets we're just in folders and was surprised. The models are .mdl and .Ani files but I can't figure out any way to view them. It's been bugging the hell out of me trying to open or even rip anything from the game.

Did a lot of googling and it's said the game is made on an in house engine. I've tried everything I could think of. Wanted to ask you guys if you had any ideas as a last ditch effort to see if anything could come of it.

Thanks!

I'm not sure, but it may be that the game uses a variant of LithTech engine, MM9 used the Talon version.
I've played and enjoyed many RPGs:
MM6,MM7,MM8,MM9, Fallout 1&2, Planescape Torment, Torment: ToN, TES3, TES4

Hmm interesting. I'll look into those!
Thanks.
All the stuff I find for .mdl is quake or source and none of those work opening or converting these models. Real frustrating lol
