Was the name "Cuisinart" an inside joke or developer prank?

To be fair, when you hear "cuisinart", you think more of a kitchen-savvy chef than an undead knight. Turns out that when you google it, it's a name of an American kitchen appliance brand. Do you think the developers snuck this name in as a joke and it was meant to be something else in the beginning?

If you imagine your party members as vegetables, and the Cuisinarts as slicing and dicing you, then you kinda get the joke they were going for I think.
You'd think Darkmoor was a ghost town, but instead there's plenty of life among the dead.

I didn't like some of the creature names in my games, so I personally edited them to my liking. For example: "Twister", "Dust Devil", and the third one to: "Lesser Sky Wraith", "Sky Wraith", and "Greater Sky Wraith". I think I renamed "Cuisinart" to "Infernal Knight".

Shoulda called them "Blendtec" then, the joke would have been much more obviousMacros the Black wrote:If you imagine your party members as vegetables, and the Cuisinarts as slicing and dicing you, then you kinda get the joke they were going for I think.
