Never heard of flying eyes either so flying sharks shouldn't be weirdest thing on menu. Stlll cant say NWC thought this through when they allowed all mobs in arena including drones (which to me was bit spoilerish when I first played mm6)

I'd say 'of fishy race'... well, they all are fishy. Nevermind then.

I thought it was more ridiculous how peasants are sent in the arena to fight you at low levels. Isn't that kind of illegal in the game, with all the reputation hits you take for killing them? (though I never actually tested if killing peasants in an arena does effect your reputation)

It doesn't.

Peasants for a level 1 party made sense to me. Unless you have bows, there isn't much that you can kill a lot of without resting, especially considering how open the arena is.

One word, Inferno.

Easy win at low levels in the arena, thanks to the NWC bookshelves.

This.

Also for that matter in 6, are you really expecting someone new to the game to head to NWC? Anyone that has played the game knows to get bow, but the idea is to not chase off people that just started the game.

M&M6.

And yes, people usually go for bows first when they start, but if you want a challenge and decide to go magic only the Inferno book is the first thing to go for.

Well you can, but I don't really see the advantage to going to the arena in the first place at level 1 in MM6 other than to try and learn combat. In a magic only challenge, I would probably turn in the letter and then train and pick up harm, poison spray, and sparks.

In MM7 going to the Arena at level 1 lets you take care of the Champion promotion quest early.
