Well, I didn't want to admit it, but . . . :)

Yes, white hair, but not black skin, ectomorphic constitution. So it's not drow.

Edit: Well, not Salvatore's drow. D&D rules could include them, if these elves are evil. (And they are not.)

Dwarf on the left for sure.

Erm, http://www.african-tribes.org/african-women.jpg Compare to cannibals in MM6 :) (though, corpses on sticks pass the fan service test  necrophiliac fans rejoice)
My patches: MM6 MM7 MM8. MMExtension. Tools. Also, I love Knytt Stories and Knytt Underground. I'm also known as sergroj.

They're just dressed up for The Amazing Race. See all the red and yellow colours on them? B-)

..and of course, that's an exception. There's no need for it in a game. Remember, the internet was created for porn. People can get it from there. :)

Yep.

Not necessarily, Dark Shade looks close to the left picture, but he is a Robber. He upsets Esoterica, no doubt.

You really should check MM3 manual.
As for classes - each one had one champion from one race on begining, trained by Forces of Dome, but later these champions tought others, how to be paladin or sorcerer, so there was no race restrictions after all.

Er . . . yes, that was my point. Did you read what I was responding to, which claimed that the reason people hate MM9 is because of its aesthetics?

People hated it for many reasons.
Personally, i was hating it for moving away from the old world, for being long & boring, and for unreadable names. Throjgard.. like, wtf? How do I remember or even read that?

His Point Exactly! :D

The Reason I didn't like it was 1. It didn't have the grid based inventory from 6-8, 2. The black chests were to damn easy to deal with, and too few. 3. I never felt I made much progress, creatures would suddenly get stupid strong. 4. Lack of adventure feel, and way too few dragons. last, I didn't like the skill table, and taking away fly just broke my heart.

The names and the setting were based on norse and celtic mythologies. That was also a departure from Central Europe's and Graeco-Roman mythologies, which the earlier games were based upon (the same goes for the Heroes games).

More over, there are exactly one champion for race/gender combination.
I read, it's why I mentioned upsetting Esoterica. BTW, she was Force who trained two gnomish champions.

First thing I hated was that whenever I picked up a corpse there was a few seconds delay before their inventory is shown. Then I hated that walking was too slow compared to distances (now I know there's a spell to speed it up later in the game, but I dropped playing earlier). Then I finished 2nd promotion quest for my ?paladin? before getting the quest for it and didn't get the promotion due to game bug. That's when I dropped playing. So, my reason was its unfinished buggy state.

Agreed, that Nomad's claim was wrong.

I can think of a million reasons why I didn't like MM9. Ugly graphics, bad interface, lag in picking up corpses, like Grayface said, class system change, bugs, bugs and bugs, empty world, not enough money to even pay for your level ups, bugs, some more bugs, uninteresting story, no scifi elements, and so much more.

I did like the music though, it was the one thing holding the thing together and helping with the atmosphere. There were also some interesting quests, trying to deviate from the classic kill this, get this item, deliver X object to Y person.

That's the content I really missed -- midgame areas/monsters.

It's why patch by DJAlex gives this spell Forad Darre.

You cannot complete any promo quest before getting it. Though you can complete some necessary steps. E.g., you can destroy Yobbos before getting Crusader's quest, or learn a Magrib before getting Scholar's quest, but you still can get the quest and then complete it. Perhaps you just forgot to pick a party member to become Paladin.

Mine not.
