Dragon evolution

Postby GreatEmerald » Sep 7 2009, 14:49

With Might and Magic 6 victorious once again, we head over to a new evolution... This time with plenty of Dragon options! NOTE: Some options have been merged into one because this forum won't allow so many options :(

This one's hard... But I'll probably choose MM6, clean and neat design, and just how you'd imagine a dragon.

MM1 - Secret of the Inner Sanctum: Black Dragon, Blue Dragon, Gold Dragon, Gray Dragon, Green Dragon, Red Dragon, Silver Dragon, White Dragon
The image is missing, though... Can anyone provide one?

MM2 - Gates to Another World: Cloud Dragon, Frost Dragon, Fire Dragon, Armored Dragon, Ancient Dragon, Dragon Lord (there is also a Megadragon, but it looks like a dinosaur for some reason)
Image

MM3 - Isles of Terra: Dragon Worm
Image

MM3 - Isles of Terra: Mini Dragon and other dragons
Image

MM4 - Clouds of XEEN: Acid Dragon
Image

MM4 - Clouds of XEEN: Dragon King
Image

MM4 - Clouds of XEEN: Fire Dragon
Image

MM4 - Clouds of XEEN: Frost Dragon

MM4 - Clouds of XEEN: Water Dragon
Image

MM5 - Darkside of XEEN: Green Dragon
Image

MM5 - Darkside of XEEN: Energy Dragon
Image

MM5 - Darkside of XEEN: Cloud Dragon, Phase Dragon
Image

MM5 - Darkside of XEEN: Dragon Mummy, Scraps
Image

MM5 - Darkside of XEEN: Megadragon
Image

MM6 - Mandate of Heaven: Red Dragon, Gold Dragon, anything else?
Image Image Image

MM7 - For Blood and Honor: Green Dragon, Blue Dragon, Red Dragon, Megadragon

MM8 - Day of the Destroyer: Emerald Dragon, Sapphire Dragon, Ruby Dragon
(see below)

MM8 - Day of the Destroyer: Hatchling, Young Dragon, Dragonette, Dragon, Dragon Flightleader

There are several good ones in there.

The MM8 ones were nice, but why make them all the same?

Yes - same as drakes.

In this case, no, I don't count Drakes, Wyrms and Lizards. They are different kinds of dragons. And the poll is already too full.

Hard to say. Either the MM4 Dragon King or... the MM 7 dragons, I'd say, though there are several other cool dragons there. I guess I'll vote for the MM7 dragons just out of nostalgia.
PS: You missed the MM9 dragon.
"Yes, but what about David Beckham and the magic mushroom?"

No, I didn't miss it, it just didn't fit into the poll... :(

Despite the fact that you have three different categories for some of the earlier MM games.

Well, granted, they are radically different from each other, but some squeezing might have been in order.

With the exception of the Dragon King, all MM4/5 dragons are squeezed to pairs.

This is the first time I chose some non-MM6/7 creature. Voted for funny MM4 Fire Dragon.

And you've missed the blue dragon from Heroes 1.
My patches: MM6 MM7 MM8. MMExtension. Tools. Also, I love Knytt Stories and Knytt Underground. I'm also known as sergroj.

Pretty sure there were also blue and green dragons in MM6, and even a black one (the paladin quest boss). And wyrms too, dunno if they count as dragons?
You'd think Darkmoor was a ghost town, but instead there's plenty of life among the dead.

The paladin quest boss was definitely red.

Only red, blue and gold dragons in MM6. Green one were drakes and wyrms but not dragons.

Little known fact that Thoronax (the trophy in the Sturmford tavern from MM9)...

Image

is the very same Red Dragon who attacked the adventurers alongside the Kreegans in MM6's intro.

i.e. the Horn of Ros? No, they're not connected as far as I can tell.
