Baal Garden Treasure from creatures

Unread postby Mn » 07 Jan 2010, 13:11

A cleaned this area too and don't find any artifact bow. My greatest finding is relic Poseidon Trident (10D10+20 with minor pluses and minuses to stats). With this Pike and usual sword (2D5+11) my stalker do damage 112-210! And I sell all my three Swords of Light, because combi of Riply Sword (from Mystic Isles stone) and Hammer of Gods give best effect. One two-handed weapon in my party is Axe Lugh (because it has bonus to attack damage). I'm don't lucky - at first playing I obtained second good and left-handed Sword Riply and second artifact chain armor. But don't worry about good bows - later in the game you found them.

In the Liar of Koschei I see with wizard eye an enemy that appears to be stuck in the wall between the cavern farthest to the right and the next cave. Is there some type of secret entrance or is this just a glitch?

It's simply the way the game engine generates creature spawns. So, yes, it is a game engine 'glitch'.

I've accidentally loaded the autosave when I was still in Kat'lan but then I've re-loaded the game from a normal save. Should I start from the beginning or it won't be a problem later on?

Maybe you can donate them to the new MMLevelEditor project -- see new thread.

Ideally, I'd like to have a stripped-down distributable data set available with the editor, with no copyrighted assets in it, for starting completely new projects.

I was going to quickly make "smiley-face" MM6 with blank templates when I got to that point, but real resources would be better :)

I can draw a smiley-face. Anything beyond that is too hard for me :)

Where is the end of part 1 of TCC?

Unread postby Mn » 08 Jan 2010, 21:22

I obtained all four exit keys from Fortress of Aharchy and, as was spoken by Seer on exit, saved game in first slot. It is the end of part 1? Or I can continue any game actions such training or shopping?
It's interesting, which abilities and equipment were transform into part 2 and which of them were usefull.
And little question about Fortress of the Ancients - every chest contains different black potion - I missed any quest?
Edition: It is possible (on part 1) have mages in party? My answer - No mages. (You may have Two healers (Paladin@Clerric) and two elemental casters (two Archers). Any else party be very weak from begining to the end. (imho) No Druids - there are very weak.

Mn,

Part 1 is now complete. You should probably not do anything else with that saved game.

Part 2 will be released soon.

Not sure. I'd trust the SAVED Game, and not the AutoSave.

I thought that you were going to independently issue a 'patch' for ANIMS1.vid file that includes the Game-end video (SMK) sequence using Grayface's LOD Add program.

yes, it is.
the main problem is - if player will end the game and see old ending and won't save game before it, players will need to complete the game again or cheat to see this final video =)

because only 736 frames are ready and 1-2 big animation blocks need to be done.
------------
i saw 3 bubles in "6 day left" section...
and how about fire\storm ones or this ones are something different and new?

TCC fix 1
http://rapidshare.com/files/333124475/anims2.exe
fixes 2 videos (swaps intro and staff videos + fixes their resolutions and quality)
---
put patch in your MM\anims folder and execute.
---
pay attension that this is a patch from maestro and do not contain any viruses or veil programs (you can see "M" symbol as my signature). so allow your firewall to run it. my files tested on most popular antiviruses such as symantec, nod32, kasperski, dr.web -some antiviruses could think that this is virus but you can trust patches from me since mm7 maestro mod ;)

Good point! I'll put a notice in the TCC Part2 Player's Installation Guide about this. Thanks.

These are called Flashing Tunnels, and are different from the end-game Sacred Fire.

Once I can download this file, I'll put it on the 'official' TCC download site.

Why not delay part 2 until the end video is ready? The time can also be spent on testing. Or maybe it would be better to release it as beta.
My patches: MM6 MM7 MM8. MMExtension. Tools. Also, I love Knytt Stories and Knytt Underground. I'm also known as sergroj.

That's both a fair question and a possible suggestion.

First, to the question. I have been working constantly and tirelessly on releasing the final TCC Part 1 and completing the new world for TCC Part 2 since September. And frankly, I'm both exhausted and way behind on my personal, real-life commitments. I need to 'put this project behind me' so that I can rejoin the 'real-world'. To postpone the release at this point would be counterproductive for me and my personal life.

Then the suggestion. Part 2 has been Alpha and Beta tested already, but I'm not adverse to releasing it as a beta. Besides, a project is not finalized as long as patches are required. So, when the final videos are delivered to me under their proper import names (both start-of-game and end-of-game) , I will import them into a 'virgin' ANIMS video for total rebuild and then post that rebuilt ANIMS file on the official download site.

That's the best I can do for now. As it stand now,
