In an interview to the French business magazine La Vie Financière, Yves Guillemot, President of Ubisoft Entertainment, stated his plans to expand the cumpany by acquiring a couple of companies whose turnover does not exceed 100 million euros. Currently, Ubisoft is thoroughly studying a number of small publishers, studios and brands.

Guillemot also commented the situation with Electronic Arts having purchased 20% of Ubisoft's stocks last year. "It should be clear - we are not for sale. EA should be more interested in ensuring that Ubisoft stays an independent company, continuing to increase its income and profit. However, consolidation in this industry is inevitable. Therefore, if some company suggests a strategy and price that meet the expectations of our employees and stockholders, we shall consider their proposal."
