This new MOD is a combination of Might and magic 6 and Might and magic 8 items. I also made some weapons myself.
This MOD also comes with new graphics.
Also changed some things.. like other creatures on Emerald Island. And more..

Alright go to http://rapidshare.com/files/31861476/MM7.rar.html
and click on 'FREE' (right bottom). Then typ the 'CODE' and press download.

If you cant open .RAR files go to www.rarlabs.com and download RAR.

If you open the .RAR file you will find:

1. ICONS.LOD
2. events.lod
3. audio.snd

Replace these files in the ":\program files\3DO\\data\" the MOD will get activated.
This is not the final version of the mod because I just want to edit more things in the future.

I have tested the MOD with the latest patch of might and magic + moks patch and also the windows XP patch.

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN !

If you have any suggestions or complaints I would like to hear them.

This sounds exciting. Could you please tell us about the weapons you've created? How have you changed the graphics? How is Emerald Island changed? What else is changed?

A lot of questions, I know, but I'm curious. With my slow bandwidth, I won't start a download without knowing that I'll like the results. smile_teeth

Ofcourse I will explain the mod =)

I did everything with mm7view and some things with MM8LevelEditor-package-3.47. However didnt succeed yet to edit bitmaps or sprites.

List of changes
------------------

E-ISLES

1. Added a Body Magic expert
2. Added a Bow expert
3. Added a Sword expert
4. Changed the shop times.. normally open 6 and closed 6.
5. No more Dragonflies on E-ISLES.. they are now Goblins smile
6. Changed the spiders and bats in the temple of the moon to thiefs and ghosts.
7. Changed the rats to bats in the dragons lair.
8. Changed dialogue. Now we got real questions.

Better looking maps.

9. Changed almost all weapons.. got many from mm6 and mm8 also made some myself.
10. New better/warmer looking interface. (changed Maps, Icons,spells)
11. Changed the starting of Davriks ring quests.. He can now be found in Erathia.
12. Some new sounds too.. spell sounds.. NPC character sounds.
13. Changed many NPC portraits.
14. New loading screens.

There isn't much changed on the rest of the world.. . I will try to edit the rest of the world. But its fun with some new items =)

Bugs
-------

1. Spear bug --> Ogre fighting stick looks a bit buggy for Males.
2. Characters cant equip wands. The game freezes.
3. Cant open doors in Erathian Sewers

Odd about the wand bug. While that MM6 wand with the leaves floats a bit past the fingertips in MM7, I've had no other problems with using MM6 wands in MM7.

Do the new weapons look right on the paper dolls without alpha channels?
If so, I could do some really nice ones myself. smile

I'd love to see screenshots of the new weapons being held by the characters. Could you post some?

actually no .. dont know how to make screenshots ingame..

doesnt work with f12 or printscreenkey

I finally figured out how to do it.

First do the Print Screen key. Then minimize or close MM. It helps to have a graphic program open with a blank area ready to draw on. Press control and v to paste the screenshot onto the blank area.

I really like the blue sword (item005) in particular.

I unpacked your icons file and took a peek at your new weapon textures. They are basic bmps with a solid black background? And the game is able to show them fine on the paper dolls?

If so, I think I'll play around some with making a bunch of new ones myself. smile

I'll release them as a modder pack, with info on which ones they can replace. That way, anyone can do customizing of the icons file they're using.

I should ask my Morrowind modding friends for the OKs to use screenshots of their weapons and shields for this. So many cool weapons have been made for Morrowind.

I've been thinking about doing building texture replacers. Or even landscape replacers. As all those textures are basic solid bmps.

Yeah I just used google for morrowind weapons mod image's.
I copied the pictures of some weapons and resized them smile_teeth
Very easy smile

Yeah we are able to edit EVERYTHING !!!! Here is proof that we can even edit the video files.

I assume these are teachers?

Any word on editing starting skills? It was always annoying to me that a ranger had to start with a skill they couldn't GM. I'd prefer to have all 4 starting skills open for choice when I creat a character.

asterix15 is working on getting alpha-channeled bmps to work. And I got the Ok from the Morrowind BB2 texturer to use her beautiful body textures. So once asterix15 learns how to do the alpha-channeled bmps, I may be able to make some of those sexy elf female paper dolls for you. smile

Also, I've been contacting Morrowind weapons and shield modelers for the Oks to use screenshots of their weapons and shields in the MM games. So there should be some really gorgeous ones in a month or so.

asterix15 - Is it possible to add weapons and such, or do they only work as replacers?

They only work as replacers =(

You cant add anything.. only replace files. (as far as I know)

Yes I will edit the starting skills too smile

I know how to make alpha-channeled bmps now sunglasses
