Heroes V Easter Eggs

Unread postby Marzhin » 19 May 2006, 12:52

There are some surprises hidden in Heroes V, as a user of the french official forum named Maalakai discovered in the 4th mission of the Haven Campaign.

I believe it's obviously a reference to one of Nival's previous title, Blitzkrieg...

Not being funny but they should really have spent more time fixing bugs than putting stupid tanks in the game..

So, um, does the tank do anything other than block the path?

Actually, no. Instead of putting the tanks in the game, the art department might have profitably focused on giving Isabel her own attack animation rather than the generic one. Not precisely a bug, but a bit jarring. :)

I'd rather have seen some lip movement in all those talk scenes. Or at least something else from all the hand-waiving and spell-effects they seem so fond of.

If you ramp up the resolution, I think a bar of white appears inbetween Isabel's lips sometimes when she's talking. But I could be mistaken. :)

I'd rather have better dialogues. "Tree shaging pixies"? What, he's in highschool?

I'm about to start the fourth scenario, so I'll be on the lookout for that tank.

But yeah, I'd like to see the characters actually mouthing the words, corny as they may be.

Ooh! Weapons of war! Maybe we can get some proper siege weapons in as well? Like, a big gun? :D

I doubt it's the animators that wrote the dialogue. Then again, considering it's quality, maybe it was...

The idea of town descriptions is an interesting one, but using it in this kind of way is disturbing. Ekhm...

Hey, who knows... it's an easter egg, but we can take it as one of the unsolved mysteries of the Reckoning. Maybe not all portals lead to Axeoth!

There's also mention of Sandro being truly dead, killed by the Empire. He was the necro campaign hero's mentor. Very annoying, I wanted Sandro alive.... well undead anyway.
