Even if you don't like the H5 version, you still ought to give people a chance to vote for it, you know?

Voted H3. H2 aint bad either, but I like the more "stoney" texture for the H3 one.

I've asked once before but got no response:
Campfire
Real-life talk and discussions not related to the Might and Magic series.
So how come these evolution threads are in this forum?

On topic: For me it boils down to the H2 and H4 gargoyles. Both have a great look to them, but I'm gonna go for the H2 version just for all the pain it caused to my shooters back then.

Because it includes all of the heroes,so it cant go in HV,nor in HI-III forum.

I voted for HIV,because it look the best to me.HII is my second best.

So therefore it belongs in the off-topic forum? :| Put it in the H5 forum - that's where it fits best IMO.

Its beyond my power now.Speak to the mods if you want it moved.

And,should we have a strict limit of 7 days for these polls,or do we just let the mods close them when the interest drops?

as long as you don't link to the earlier ones when posting a new one, they could be allowed to disappear from the "public's eyes" by themselves. And I think they'd better be placed in the H1-4 forum, which is likely to not be as hectic as the H5 one once the game is out. I'll not move this one for now though, as I don't see any particular need.

vote Heroes 2 Gargoyle.
So it goes from a live creature, to an animated thing, to an arcade machine/jukebox. An interesting evolutionary path...

H2 for me (as usual). But all from H2, H3 and H4 are good, they're not to different either. H1 is a bit, well, oddly coloured for one, and more monster than stone. The H5 one is of course an utter (and surely druginduced) joke :|

Eh…Vote HV. Best to give Nival points for what they didn’t rip directly from H3, even if the lineup is so painfully similar. >_< After that would be H1. It brings back memories…:) All the rest are just slight variations of each other.

The poll is about appearance so will try not to focus on general gargoyles features.

H1- hmm, for me ugly one, I don't know how to explain it but H1 g. resembles IMO mutant gremlins from the TV-film

h2-yeah, that's the best ever lookin' g. Nice sounds, beautiful animation, but lack of being stone

h3- nothing better than H1

h4- compared to H2 it IS stone, and nice looking, but IMO a bit cripple flying animation & 'silly' duck-shape mouth

h5- don't like the idea of that kind of gargoyles. As for graphic OK, but the shape and way it flies... brrr

To sum up the choice is between h2 and h4, but will go for h2. It's not stony but as I wrote: best ever looking gargoyle

If you talk about a structural design, you might be right (though who in their right minds would place one of those things as decoration on a house?) In a mythology context, however, they're no more a chimerathan they're a minotaur.
