MM6 Armageddon clearing

Unread postby Xfing » 19 Jul 2013, 15:53

Is it posible to clear out a map with a single user of Armageddon in MM6? I mean a map like the Dragonsands. In MM8 monsters (at least in outdoor locations) don't heal when you rest. In MM7 monsters do heal when enough time has passed (48 hours or so) making this tactic nonviable for the Land of Giants. Does anyone have any experience of how it looks in MM6?

I supose you could try it in areas that do not have any townpeople in them, one casting of Armageddon will make your Reputation go from Saintly to Notorious. It is alot harder to rebuild your Reputation then loose it...

More over, some species, like Titans, are totally immune to Magic damage dealt by Armageddon.

I believe flying monsters aren't affected by the spell either.

Yeah, Armageddon seems to be pretty bad in MM6. Like, BAD.

It's really not practical in MM6 aside from a fast way to dump reputation before you learn master dark. I tend to use it in Bootleg Bay because nothing survives 2 casts, and there is nothing in the area worth saving.

They really did fix the spell in MM7. Too bad they didn't yet fix (or should i say "nerf") the rest mechanic. Relentlessly Armageddoning the elemental planes in MM8 is an experience farm like no other!

Well yeah, the spell is next to useless in this game.
