I tell her as she helps me up. I look at Jarvus with concern.

"Oh, I hope this old mage will do fine soon. So now, where do we start our search? Any idea where to find Sun?"

Will check to make sure everyone's alright and then get out of here .... what are we looking at?

I get up.

"Ugh. I hope I never have to do that again."

I dust myself off and look at Moon, offering her a hand to get up if she's not already standing.

"Are you okay?"

I then look at Fiya.

"You know the drill! Go scout for us...and be safe."

I send Fiya off to do her thing.

I stand up, grumbling.

"That boring mage. I don't like his magics, Caratra... That was painful."

I look at my new chain shirt.

"But, at least I have this!" I say with a smile.

I take off my current chain shirt and put on the new one. I just drop the old one on the ground, leaving it there.

I walk over to where Onyx is.

The tower exterior reveals a dark, cloudy sky smothering a barren country side. Barren fields surround the Tower of Jarvus, offering nothing but plowed dirt aching to be toiled. But nothing grows for the farmers are gone. A handful of dead tress stand crookedly, their dried limbs waving to the band of adventurers. A broke rope hangs sadly from one of the branhes, revealing a body below it. The body lies limp and shows off its new necklace, a noose. Three hungry-looking vultures hop around the body, waiting for the body to die, so they can feast on its flesh to satiate their scavenger nature.

Sensing that the man is still alive, Onyx quickly shoos the birds away. Their flight directs his attention to a sign at the base of the tree. Onyx reads its message aloud.

"By decree of the Church of the Black Sun,
the heathen Elvin is to be hanged until death
for his crimes against the empire of the
Dark Lord Ninsnus.
May his death serve as a reminder to those
who oppose the empire.

I briefly inspect the broken noose. "Huh. Sloppy work." I then look at Onyx. "You think we should heal him?"

I look up on the hanged man, suddenly I felt that I want to help him down for an unknown reason, eventhough I don't know if he's still alive or already dead.

"Hey! Let's help him! Hurry!"

I shouted unconsciously.

I hesitate. "What if he is a criminal? I am sure that a criminal in the plane of dread would be a decent person, but that may draw a dark lord to us. In return that may draw the attention of a dark power. Regardless, we must try to help one opposed to the dark lords." With that I try to aid him as best I can.

'Ugh...I've been in better shape but thanks - Didn't think I'd get out of this.' I stretch my limbs and try to get up. Inspecting the small group I can't help but wonder what they'd be doing in a place like this.

'Some of Alpha's scum were mistreating a girl I knew and I could not take it anymore. Seeing as they had the number advantage it wasn't much of a fight.
Anyway, who is this friend of yours? He must mean a lot to you to seek him in Ravenloft.'

"It's actually Stefan's lady friend Sun. Some crazy stuff happened, and she got stuck here. He can probably tell you more about it, since I wasn't actually there to see it."

I greeted him happily. I extend my hand afterwards for a handshake.

*Bows* 'Glad to meet you Ceres. Good to see friendly people I don't get that too often

And sorry Stefan I don't have much to say about this place. Most things are kept under wraps and I certainly don't have any insights in the dark lords. All I know is never to attract too much attention but chances are your presence is already known. Nothing escapes the notice of a dark lord for long...'
