Unread postby CANTlogINthanksFORnothin » 05 May 2007, 17:44

might and magic IV if i am supposed to say which M & M my question is about.

someone explain to me how oracles work?, i get the impression they give you a reward once you click an oracle, and proceed to where the X is, in map settings you can give the X location certain rewards........ but no matter what i do, when i get to the X it never does anything. someone explain this please?

I suppose you're referring to Heroes of Might and Magic 4, right?

If so, when you get to the X, you have to dig for the treasure. Just press D when you're on the spot. Your army needs to have full movement points, i.e. it mustn't have moved at all during that day. I don't remember if heroless armies can dig too, though.

Hope it helped.

ok, so i was testing it, and Is there no way to get NPC heroes to look at oracles?, only players? or do I need to set something somewhere in the editor to make NPC heroes use oracles and dig for treasure ?

As far as I know NPCs cannot do oracle quests or quest huts for that matter.

everybody could visiting oracles, and everybody could diging and find treasure (heroes and creatures)

you need one day to find and sit on the X
you need one day to dig it
you can move the next day

the good tactic is using 1 + 1 level 1 (one dig, other carrying the treasure.....)

Moved the topic into Heroes I-IV subforum.
