I think that you will need chinese fonts perhaps along with a small update. This actually would be very worthy of investigating as it would allow to create a multinational version of the game. :devious:
What you mean is add a font to the game??I don't know how to do that :D
But I know! See resedit or maybe also mmarchive can handle it.

But it may not be all. I will ask SergRoj ;)

They serve for replacing animations, mask files, maps, fonts and sounds. Everything what can be contained in h3 lod(rar) archives.

As for using it's very straight forward. You just open the file, extract resource, modify it. And then import back. I don't know if we have any manual for it though..

new campaign translation

Unread postby cjlee » 18 Aug 2010, 14:04

I've checked out Road Home, walkthroughs and various Chinese websites. Not to mention examined every point of their walkthroughs.

I've come to the conclusion that Chinese 'Hentai' maps are literally unplayable. They're brilliant and really a must-download for aspiring mapmakers. However, they're harder than anything Timothy Duncan ever produced.

If anyone has played the legendary THUNK before, I can say that this map is harder than THUNK on impossible difficulty. With THUNK you have a lot of freedom and possibilities, but with Road Home you can't slip up even once. I didn't get expert logistics, and I simply can't pass the enemy hero known as Marcia. Game over, unless you thought to get expert logistics earlier.

Probably 99% of gamers will need a walkthrough, and 98% will need to consult the walkthrough repeatedly. Which means that it is no point translating this map without translating all walkthroughs for the map.

I will, however, look at 愿神传说-十年战争 and try to translate it. It is supposedly of normal difficulty. This is a campaign of 12 maps that it took the mapmaker four years - that's right, four years - to complete. It's 880kb in rarred size! Maybe you can hear back from me in a couple of months...

T. Duncan maps are far from being difficult. They are rich, wonderful story and brilliant scripts, but not difficult at all, it was not his goal. And anything related to WoG can't compare to regular SOD maps, it is a different world, with different difficulties. So far, the WoG chinese maps I played are very interesting but not difficult and somehow repetitive. But of course Woodmelon has a special place here.

:D If you follow me to play the map,you will find it's not very hard to walkthrough it,many Chinese BT maps can be played as these mentioned ways.
However,it's a huge project to translate the 愿神传说-十年战争 maps,God bless you :-D

Rick visit the witch's hut to learn "ballistics",if your hero can learn it by his level up,it's unnessary to visit the witch's hut.

because of the ballistics, you can choose not hit the target wall.

Obsidian Gargoyles fly on the door of castle so as to avoid the Ancient Behemoths walking out.

Image

A tip:

if you walk one troop to the door of the castle ,the troops not fly or teleport inside can't walk outside even the troop of the door had been killed. Unless the Catapult destroy the wall.

You can use this feature not to let the enemy's infatry out.

this is a good terrain, but Garbriel also need some lucky.

first, the enchanters cast "haste" or "slow" ,if your enchanters can't cast these spells, try to switch the positions of the troops and again.

Image

use the cannon fodder block the dread knight's way, titan and enchanters shoot them inside. :-D
