Darkness, you around?! Blizzard started letting people in the beta invite friends, and now i have my own beta account... although at the moment it says i don't have the game associated to my account, and doesn't even want to recognise the new password that the bnet site does...

Anyone know when they update the info to the beta servers?!

Yeah, it turns out they associated a US version to my account, once i d/l the client from the account it worked, but i wasn't in the same realm with my brother, which sucked...

But i contacted tech support and they added the EU version to the account now... so i have 2 sc2 beta's on my account... weird.

I really hope the final game will let you choose the realm you want when you want.

So, sc2 beta has been hacked, and some Chinese guys even added an "ok" AI (in beta only "very easy" was included).

Anyone else tried it ?

SC2 collector's edition content

The goodies are nice, but it still didn't impress me enough not to wait for the (inevitable) SC2 complete pack (or SC2 warchest or whatever).

I actually think they might stick to this date.

Then again, they did say the game would be released in Q2... ;|

So, anyone played it already?
After watching cut-scenes from TT link I think I saw somewhere very similar story/characters/plot... in Warcraft 3 (however voodoo doll was nice idea).
Maybe it is only my imigination but...

It is a good game for singleplayer (I am not a fan of Battle.net) or still very similar to Starcraft 1 (which was boring for me after few replays)?

I plan to play it as soon as i get home, if everything works...

Of course single player will always get boring after a few times unless it has many different ways to play the game, and strategy games aren't conductive to that.

After watching cut-scenes from TT link I think I saw somewhere very similar story/characters/plot... in Warcraft 3.
Which had plenty in common with SC1's story... it's Blizzard, they have one story they like and they run with it...

Wow, talk about deja-vu... the first 3 missions where a lot like the ones from the original game, the 3rd one just having Matt Horner instead of the Mengsk picking you up in the nick of time (and cooler effects), but as a tutorial it works (especially since it's been 12 years). I hope the rest do mix it up though.

Also, the first mission had an element that reminded me of C&C (in a non-gameplay way)... which was great.
